Thesis Office

The Graduate College Thesis Office offers student walk-in hours from 1:00 to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Dissertation Options

There are a variety of dissertation/thesis options based on whether you are a DMA or PhD student and which area you are in.

The Graduate Studies in Music Handbook(s) offer guidelines and requirements for each.

Final Product

What is the dissertation or thesis supposed to look like? Use the Thesis Office's examples and/or look at examples in the School of Music's collection in IDEALS.

Writers Workshop

The Music & Performing Arts Library cannot proofread your thesis or dissertation. However, the Center for Writing Studies provides a Writers Workshop. They provide free writing assistance for University students, faculty, and staff from all disciplines and at all stages of the writing process.
