The Social Entrepreneur: Take-Aways

Find here supplemental information related to s presentation I made on May 16 at the Conference for Entrepreneurial Librarians at UNC-Greensboro.

Take-aways from my SE experience

(in no special order!)

You don’t need to be an expert to become one!

You don’t have to know the answer to materialize the solution.

Intractable problems are not intractable!

Don’t accept no for an answer.

Do the right thing!   If it is the right thing to do, do right by it  -  that is to do it !

You don’t need a lot of money!

Little ‘seeds’ grow into BIG ‘plants’!

Connectors, Mavens, and Salesmen

Word of mouth can spread ideas, quickly reach a tipping point, and create an epidemic of change  …  REALLY !

Think ‘local’ and ‘global’!

Don’t listen to naysayers!

Don’t give up – it matters not how long it takes!

If you don’t start, you won’t finish!

You cannot possibly imagine or dream the journey.

Librarians are a social entrepreneur's best friend!

The social entrepeneur can be a librarian--YOU!
