A number of campus, Federal, State, private, and corporate sources provide funding to support the research enterprise at UIUC. The OVCRI can assist campus scholars in identifying and developing a strategy to pursue opportunities that will further their research goals. Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) is a service unit under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, supporting research throughout the entire lifecycle of an externally sponsored project, from proposal submission to award closeout.

The Urbana Arts and Culture Commission, through the Urbana Arts Grants Program, supports projects in the arts that are accessible to the public. This program fosters an environment for established and emerging artists to thrive in Urbana, promotes life-long participation and learning in the arts, and integrates art into the urban environment.

Formerly named IRIS (Illinois Research Information Service), Grant Forward is a searchable database of grant funding opportunities. It allows users to create logins, save searches, and get recommendations.

The Illinois Arts Council Agency implements several statewide initiatives for arts organizations, educators, and individual artists, often in partnership with local, state, regional, and national entities.

The Foundation make grants through their core program areas and signature Presidential Initiatives, including Imagining Freedom, their grantmaking in Puerto Rico, and The Monuments Project.

The Champaign-Urbana Jewish Endowment Foundation receives donations, which are then used to support local, national and international Jewish organizations. Grant applications can be found on their website.

ArtsPartners in Peoria, IL facilitate partnerships, initiatives and programs that encourage and expand opportunities for public participation in the arts. Additionally, they champion professional development and networking opportunities to strengthen our greater arts community.
