Loanable Technology

Technology at MPAL

The Music & Performing Arts Library has a collection of technology that you can borrow for free! The loanable technology collection currently includes:

  • Adapters for laptops and tablets
  • Chargers
  • Microphones
  • Pedals
  • Portable CD and DVD Players

More Technology On Campus

Can't find the technology that you need? The Scholarly Commons in the Main Library has a large collection of loanable technology - don't forget to check there, too!

We're always looking for new ways to meet the needs of the students, staff, and faculty at Illinois that use our resources. Is there specific tech you wish you could borrow from the library? Let us know via email!

Facilities & Equipment

MPAL has 6 group listening and viewing rooms. All have a variety of audio and video equipment so that you can listen to and watch all the materials we have the in collection (this includes turntables, DVD and VHS players, and more!). 

You can see what equipment is available in each room and reserve a space using the room reservations link below!

In addition to our group rooms, MPAL has a variety of equipment available including microform readers (for viewing microfilm and microfiche) and several printers and scanners! Learn more by visiting our website page on Facilities & Technologies.
