Introduction to Zines

Black & white printers are located in all University Library locations. 

Color printers are located in:

• ACES (Funk) Library
• Architecture and Art
• Grainger
• Main Library (first floor across from the Information Desk)
• Main Library (The Orange Room)
• Main Library (University Archives – Room 146)
• Music and Performing Arts Library (MPAL)
• Vet Med

11″ x 17″ printers are located in:

• University Archives (Main Library – Room 146)
• The Orange Room (Main Library – Room 112)
• Grainger (Pay cash)

Campus printing and Papercut are supported by Technology Services.

When making your zines, consider these best practices:

• Most printers are unable to print near the edge of the paper. Include margins in your design, whether digitally or hand-made, to prevent your work being cut off.
• Avoid using pencils and color pencils. When scanned/ reproduced, their low contrast may lead to details being lost.
  • If you must use color pencils, try to use darker colors, press down harder when using them, or go over a mark multiple times
• Scan and save your finished zine. If you only have one copy, you leave yourself liable to lose it.
