Urbanite Dance Showcase is back! The annual international showcase returns to Champaign-Urbana—the event's birthplace—on Saturday, December 2, 2023 to The City Center. In proud partnership with Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Urbanite brings together all aspects of the culture in one immersive event for all to enjoy. Die-hard dance fans and casual admirers alike will enjoy experiencing the University of Illinois' and the Midwest's top dance crews with special guests and a dance party with DJ. Urbanite is an international dance showcase and workshop series that is focused on dancer enrichment instead of competition. Founded in 1998 in Champaign-Urbana, the experience has grown to 40+ showcases and has landed in eight US cities and three international stops.
