Neuroscience Organizations

This website represents an inter-institute effort to convey, on an NIH wide basis, the research being conducted in the neurosciences. The specific areas of neuroscience research represented within this site range over a broad spectrum within the biological sciences including biophysics, molecular and cellular neurobiology, synapses and circuits, neuronal development, integrative neuroscience, brain imaging and both neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Society for Neuroscience
The Society for Neuroscience is the world’s largest organization of scientists and physicians devoted to understanding the brain and nervous system. The nonprofit organization, founded in 1969, now has nearly 40,000 members in more than 90 countries and 130 chapters worldwide.

The Scholarly Commons (Main Library, Room 306) provides consultations for scholarly communications issues, digitization, digital humanities work, data services, and more.

The Library’s Savvy Researcher series brings experts together with faculty and graduate students to explore topics relevant to research and academic success.   These 45 to 50 minute sessions are free and are held in room 314 Main Library.
