InterLibrary Loan/Document Delivery and I-Share

What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is the system that allows you to place Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery requests 24 hours a day. You can track your requests and download electronically received materials. For UIUC affiliates, your ILLiad account is set up automatically for you.

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan service will borrow materials for you from libraries across the globe if the materials are not available at the University of Illinois. Place a request by logging into ILLiad.

What is DocExpress?

A FREE copy service for materials owned by the University Library.  Requests for journal articles and book chapters can be placed by logging into ILLiad.

What is I-Share?

I-Share allows you to request materials from over 130 academic libraries within the state of Illinois and be sent to the University of Illinois for you to use. Search for and request items through the library catalog.

Welcome!

PLEASE NOTE that the Veterinary Medicine Library is now a self-service library. This means the library is not regularly staffed. Patrons are responsible for checking out library materials to themselves using the dedicated computer terminal in the library. If you know ahead of time that you will need assistance, please make an appointment with the Veterinary Medicine Librarian.
