Illinois Apps and Mobile Websites

The University of Illinois Library now has a mobile website.

boxU of I Box is the University's online cloud content service. Students, faculty, and staff receive 50GB of free Cloud Storage as well as access to Box Sync. Box makes it easy to access and edit your files, share content and stay connected with your team from anywhere on any device.You can also use U of I Box on your mobile device.

iTunes UIllinois is available on iTunes U with apps available for both Apple and Android products. Illinois on iTunes U provides access to a wide range of Illinois-related digital media content. Public lectures, learning materials, music, sports, and items of community interest are available to anyone with the free iTunes software. Past semesters additional content can be accessed by logging in using the Active Directory (AD) accounts.

Illinois Compass2gIllinois Compass2g also offers mobile apps. Illinois Compass 2g provides faculty, instructors, students, and others a collaborative online space with tools for managing and delivering course assignments, publishing grades, and making course material available to students outside of classroom walls.

MinrvaWith the Minrva app, available for Apple and Android, you can search the local or I-Share library catalog for an item in the library. A wayfinder module will help you locate the item using the GPS-like map of the Undergrad Library book stacks. Once in the Undergrad Library book stacks, near a subject interest, you can scan any book nearby using your phone's camera to learn more information about that item -- such as a book summary. The app also notifies students of available technology in the Undergraduate Library technology loan pool.

ExploreCUExploreCU is available for Apple and Android, as well as a website. Users can browse through themed tours based on topics related to arts, culture, and history, and read more about places and events within Champaign-Urbana. Each location is pinned on a map, and so you can also browse for places nearby. ExploreCU is a community outreach project that is constantly growing based on user feedback and contributions.
