Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database, including peer-reviewed titles from international publishers, Open Access journals, conference proceedings, trade publications, and quality web sources.

Web of Science indexes core journal articles, conference proceedings, data sets, and other resources in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities.

Examples of Proceedings in Databases

Example: If you're searching for the proceedings from the 2011 International Congress on Electrocardiology, you can find it in Scopus. You would search for "proceedings electrocardiology" for the title and then limit to 2011-2012 for the publication date. You will find the Proceedings of the 38th International Congress on Electrocardiology published as the 45th volume, 3rd issue of the Journal of Electrocardiology. The entire issue is dedicated to the conference proceedings.
