Introduction

This guide for libraries in Latin America aims to answer the question of, if someone were interested in doing research on libraries in Latin America, what would be a good starting point for resources?

Here the user will find useful tips and information resources on how to effectively research the topic of libraries in Latin America, including public and academic libraries, as well as archives.  The resources included in this guide include many Online databases: for articles relevant to research on libraries and librarianship in Latin America; dissertations from, or pertaining to, Latin America; reference resources, both online and in print including library and archives directories, encyclopedias, bibliographies, and many more types of resources.
