A general introduction to library resources for Jewish studies. Intended audience: undergraduate students. The guide assumes no specialist background in Jewish studies.

Collection Description

The Library has about 2,000 volumes of Yiddish literature, including critical works, beginning at call number 892.49. We also have about 100 volumes beginning at call number 296.025. Many of these volumes can be browsed in the Main Stacks, but for the most complete listing use the Online Catalog.

Awaiting Processing:

About 4,000 volumes from the Chicago Public Library. About 800 volumes from a gift made to the Library by the Van Cortlandt Workmen's Circle Community House Library, Bronx New York. and about 400 volumes received as part of an exchange with University College, London.
