Circulation Policies for Videos

There are several aspects of checking out videos from the Undergraduate Library that you need to be aware of:

  • All videos are available for a one week loan period.
  • OLLI members have no limit on number of items checked out.
  • All media items from the Undergraduate Library must be picked up and returned at the UGL Information Services Desk.
  • You will receive an email to your Illinois email address when items become overdue.

Public Performance Rights

Only items for which we have been granted public performance rights can be shown to groups other than for face-to-face instruction as part of the regular institutional curriculum.

When viewing a record in the online catalog, look for the "Terms of Use" field near the call number. If the Terms of Use field shows just "Public Performance Rights," this can be shown to groups, so long as no admission is charged.

Remember, the University Library is a research collection. We have specific rules regarding performance rights and copyright. Please be cognizant of these rules and ask if you have any questions.
